PICKLEBALL PADDLES
There are 3 different types of paddles that all pickleball players primarily play with: power paddles, control paddles & hybrid paddles. I’m going to give you a selection of the top paddle of each to choose from!
THE BEST POWER PADDLE: I know I’m cheating here… but I have 2 options!
Option 1.) This is great for someone who like to maximize power and spin on the court. If they like to play fast and likes a lot of “pop” off their paddle, then I know they’ll love either the the Power Air or the new Selkirk Labs 007! Below are two fun & pretty color options: Navy & Pink is the Prestige Edition and the Blue and White is the Catherine Parenteau signature paddle.

Option 2.) The other power paddle I would suggest is the NEW Selkirk Labs Project 007. This paddle is a higher price point than the Power Air but I personally think that the Project 007 paddle has the same amount of “pop” and power as the Power Air, but it offers more control. Plus, I like the throat design because it really helps my two handed backhand and being able to slide my non-dominant hand up further to maneuver the ball easier! The Project 007 comes in a 10mm and a 14mm. The 10mm is going to have crazy power, but offer less control and the 14mm is going to be powerful but still have that control feel to it!
THE BEST CONTROL PADDLE: This is the ideal choice for the pickleball player who values precision and control on the pickleball court. The Selkirk Luxx paddle is made with a balanced design and it offers incredible touch and responsiveness, allowing players to really be able to “feel” the ball and hit finesse shots that feel dreamy!
THE BEST HYBRID PADDLE: This paddle is great for intermediate to advanced players who like the “right in between” power and control! THE BEST BUDGET OPTION: You really shouldn’t sleep on this last paddle. In fact, this is the paddle that I personally choose to play with! It’s great for beginner-advanced players and it’s the HALO SERIES. They have a power paddle version as well as a control paddle version and I think they’re both fantastic. They’re thermoformed and feel really well-balanced. Plus, it’s priced at only $130.00 which is incredible for this caliber of a paddle! PLUS– this model has an awesome pickleball feature so you can track your pickleball with your other workouts!
GoPro Hero 12: I love having a GoPro for filming my pickleball matches. The lens is perfect for being able to capture the whole court in frame! Great in environments with both shadows and bright light, HDR captures the subtle details of the scene that might typically blend into the darkness of shadows or disappear in the bright spots of your shot. The result is dynamic footage with true-to-life color and precision.
Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses: Not gunna lie, I’ve seen some really cool pickleball people wear these on court to film the game from their perspective and it’s such a cool way to look at your own game! This is definitely a niche purchase for a certain type of player but if it were me, I’d love a pair of these!
