If you’re a pickleball enthusiast, you probably already know it but the Selkirk LUXX is making WAVES on the market. This innovative paddle is turning heads in the pickleball community, and today, we’re diving into its features, advantages and a few considerations to help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
SELKIRK LUXX CONTROL AIR REVIEW
This paddle is the market-released version of the Selkirk Labs Project 003, the specs are the very similar as far as handle length, core thickness, etc. The main difference is that there is definitely more spin due to Selkrik’s trademarked Florek Carbon Fiber AND also, this paddle seemed to provide a little more pop than the 003, specifically from the baseline on ground strokes, as well as serves.

The Pros: Incredible Control
- Great “Pop” & “Spin” Control Paddle: I actually feel like I can get pretty good speed on my drives/serves from the baseline with this paddle. This paddle definitely has more more pop and spin than the 003. I really feel like it drives the ball with great consistency.
- Incredible Touch: This paddle is all about control which makes this a great paddle to hit consistent drops/resets. Trust me, your dinks/resets feel buttery soft with this paddle!
- Above-Average Spin: Enjoy an edge with the Power Air Invikta’s ability to generate above-average spin
The Cons: Lacks some finishing power
- While it may have more pop than the 003 from the baseline I found it still lacked some power when putting the ball away or counter-attacking.
Who I would recommend it to: Players who want to sharpen up their soft game and beat their opponents with spin and placement.
